Child Airlifted To Hospital After Collision in Eastbourne

Sussex Police launch investigation after a 13-year-old boy sustains life-threatening injuries in a collision on Hazelwood Avenue.

Sussex Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a tragic collision in Eastbourne that left a 13-year-old boy with severe injuries. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 27, around 3:50 pm in Hazelwood Avenue.

According to reports, emergency services rushed to the scene following a collision between a car and the young boy. The severity of the injuries prompted the immediate airlifting of the child to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for potentially life-threatening injuries. Authorities have notified his next of kin.

As investigations unfold, Sussex Police are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to reach out to collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Glenmore.
