Coastguard to the rescue of Ambulances stuck in the snow

Sunday evening (December 11th, 2022) Birling Gap Coastguard assisted stranded ambulances in transferring patients to Hospital.

The ambulances got stranded on the A259 East Dean road by the Eastbourne Downs Golf Club.

Birling Gap Coastguard said in relation to their 193 call out of the year “The team assisted the ambulance service transport patients to hospital as their vehicle was stranded. Stay safe and don’t take any unnecessary journeys”
