Crowhurst Man Charged with Child Sexual Offences Appears in Court

Shaun Gannon, 68, faces multiple charges following a Sussex Police investigation into alleged offences dating back to the early 2020s.

A man has appeared in court accused of committing sexual offences against a young girl known to him.

Shaun Gannon, 68, of an address in Crowhurst, appeared before Hastings Magistrates’ Court on April 2 in connection with a Sussex Police investigation launched in 2023.

The allegations relate to a girl under the age of 13, who cannot be identified for legal reasons. She has been receiving support from specially trained officers.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place in the early 2020s.

Gannon has been charged with three counts of sexual assault by touching of a girl under 13, and two counts of making an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

He has been released on bail and is due to appear at a Crown Court in Sussex on April 30 to answer the charges.
