Drivers in Brighton asked to take extra care on icy roads after a number last control on the hilly roads

Residents in Brighton are asking drivers to avoid cutting through on ungritted hilly roads in the city after a number of cars lost control colliding with parked vehicles.

Patrons in the Station Hotel pub put their pints down to come out and assist in pushing cars in the area around Hamstead Road and Woodside Avenue

A local resident said “The steepness and sharp bends do not seem to deter some people, I even got my spade and did some gritting”
