Emergency Response Unfolds at East Preston Beach

The large-scale operation began earlier this afternoon when a car was found abandoned on the beach at East Preston. Emergency services, including Sussex Police, HM Coastguard, and local lifeboat crews, are actively involved in the ongoing search.

A spokesperson for HM Coastguard confirmed their involvement, stating: “We received a request for assistance from Sussex Police with an incident at East Preston beach just after 14:10 today (22 December). A coastguard helicopter, Littlehampton Coastguard Rescue Team, and Shoreham RNLI Lifeboat have been deployed to assist.”

While the police have not disclosed Alexander’s surname, they confirmed the abandoned vehicle is connected to their efforts to locate him. The situation has heightened concerns for Alexander’s wellbeing as the search continues into the evening.

How You Can Help

Authorities are urging the public to stay vigilant and report any information about Alexander’s whereabouts. The collaborative effort highlights the critical nature of the search, with both land and sea-based teams working tirelessly to locate him.

This story is developing, and updates will follow as more information becomes available. Anyone who believes they have seen Alexander is asked to contact Sussex Police immediately.
