Fuel leak leads to motorcycle accident in Worthing

On Sunday, September 4th, at 12:32 pm, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were mobilised to the scene of a fuel leak at Marine Parade in Worthing.

The incident led to a motorcyclist losing control of his bike due to the diesel spill.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “Yesterday (4 September) at 12.32pm we responded to a fuel leak at Marine Parade in Worthing.

“Joint Fire Control mobilised one fire engine from Worthing to the scene.

“Upon arrival crews found that a motorcyclist came off his bike as a result of the diesel spill and an ambulance was requested.

“Fire crews made the scene safe and the incident was left in the care of West Sussex County Council’s Highways team.”
