Humpback Whale sighted off Brighton

A Humpback Whale has been sighted yesterday just outside Brighton Marina.

Gary Rice was fishing off Brighton Marina when he captured footage of the Whale.

A spokesperson for the Sussex Dolphin Project said “We believe this whale is likely to be the same individual sighted last week at the Port of Dover.”

“Please report any further sightings of this whale as it is unusual to see this species in the channel and we are eager to ensure it is displaying normal behaviour.”

The Sussex Sussex Dolphin Project can be contacted on social media or via there web site https://sussexdolphinproject.org/

The Sussex Dolphin Project is committed to protecting local dolphin species through research, awareness and education to deliver ecosystem-level restoration and rejuvenation.
