Jewellery theft in Burgess Hill ends with five arrests

In response to a jewellery theft in Burgess Hill, Sussex Police has taken five individuals into custody.

Around 1 pm on Thursday, September 7, officers were dispatched to a store on Cyprus Road, where a significant amount of high-value gold jewellery had been stolen by a group of individuals.

The suspects made their escape in a vehicle, but were apprehended by police at approximately 1:15 pm while heading towards Brighton. Following a brief foot pursuit, three men and two women were detained and arrested on suspicion of theft. They are presently in police custody.

Individuals with information regarding the theft or those who may have captured pertinent mobile phone, dash cam, or CCTV footage are urged to contact the police through the online reporting system or by calling 101, referencing serial number 716 of 07/09.
