Jingle Cells: Teen Faces Charges After Hellingly’s Christmas Eve Break-In

An individual has been detained relating to a recent burglary in Hellingly.

The incident was reported to the police on Wednesday, 27 December, concerning a break-in at a residence on Goldring Avenue the previous evening (26 December). The burglar made away with electrical appliances, video games, jewelry, and clothing valued at around £16,000. Additionally, a vehicle is also suspected to have been tampered with during the incident.

After conducting investigations, an 18-year-old man was apprehended on charges of burglary with intent to steal and causing damage to a vehicle valued under £5000.

The suspect has since been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
