Former Lancing College Teacher Charged with Multiple Child Sex Offences

Nick Baldock faces charges related to sexual assault, indecent images, and data breaches involving pupils.

Nick Baldock, a 46-year-old former teacher at Lancing College in West Sussex, has been formally charged with several serious child sex offences. Baldock faces one charge of sexual assault, two counts of publishing an obscene article, and three counts of knowingly disclosing personal data without consent. These charges relate to six victims who were pupils at the college during his employment.

In addition to these charges, Baldock has also been charged with three counts of making indecent photographs of a child. These specific charges do not relate to any current or former pupils at Lancing College.

The alleged offences occurred between August 2021 and December 2022. Baldock was arrested in December 2022 and is no longer employed at the college or residing in the immediate area.

Baldock has been released on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before Worthing Magistrates’ Court on 13 August. Police are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information that could assist to contact them online or via 101, quoting serial 203 of 12/08.
