Man Accused of Sexual Activity in Front of Child on Bognor Beach

Olegas Podolianko, 53, arrested and charged after incident near Lennox Street

A man has been charged after an indecent exposure incident on Bognor beach on Sunday afternoon (27 April).

Police launched an investigation following a report that a man had indecently exposed himself on the beach. A suspect was arrested later the same day.

Olegas Podolianko, 53, of Longford Road, Bognor, has been charged with one count of indecent exposure and one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (29 April) and was released on court bail. He is next due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 27 May.

Detective Sergeant Dave Bulger said: “We are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident, which happened on the section of Bognor beach opposite the fish and chip shop in Lennox Street at around 3.50pm on Sunday (27 April).”
