Man Arrested After Knife Incident in Shoreham Residential Street

Police arrest man after reports of erratic behavior with a knife in Shoreham

Police responded to an emergency call last night after reports of a man “acting erratically with a knife” in Kingsland Close.

Officers swiftly attended the scene and detained a 36-year-old local man. The man was taken to the hospital due to a medical condition, but he has since been discharged. A knife was recovered from the scene, and no one else was injured during the incident.

Following his discharge from the hospital, the man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon in a public place and is now in police custody.

Sussex Police have assured the community that there will be an increased police presence in the area as investigations continue. A police spokesperson said, “We would like to thank the public for their patience during the incident.”
