Man assaulted after a attempted street robbery in Billingshurst

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted during an attempted robbery as he walked home in Billingshurst.

The incident took place on a path between Berrall Way and Luxford Way, south of the park, in the early hours of September 3.

Three men approached the victim and demanded his phone and personal items.

The incident occurred between midnight and 1am.

The suspects were wearing dark clothing and hoods.

Witnesses and anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area at the time are urged to come forward. Officers wish for anyone with any CCTV or doorbell camera footage to come forward.
