A 45-year-old man was assaulted and his car damaged on the A27 near Falmer. Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage.

Driver Threatened and Attacked in Road Rage Incident Involving Blue Van

Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault on the A27 slip road near Falmer.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.30pm on Thursday, 20 June, on the eastbound slip road. A 45-year-old local man was driving a blue BMW when it’s believed his vehicle was deliberately damaged by another driver.

The victim later reported being threatened and assaulted by a man driving a blue van, which was seen heading in the direction of Lewes. The suspect is described as having a tattoo on his right arm, wearing sunglasses, and was travelling with a dog in the van.

Police are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone who witnessed the altercation or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
