A 32-year-old man has been charged following a string of shoplifting offences at the Co-Op store in Maidenbower, Crawley.

Simon Rogers-Davis, of Lucas Close, Maidenbower, has been charged with seven counts of theft and is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 18 July. He has been released on bail with conditions that prohibit him from entering the store without supervision.

The charge comes as a result of joint efforts between the Co-Op, the Crawley Neighbourhood Policing Team, divisional response officers, and Sussex Police’s Business Crime Team.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the force remains committed to working with local businesses to prevent crime and ensure offenders are held accountable.
