Man hospitalized with facial injuries after assault in Brighton

A man was seriously assaulted in New Road, Brighton on 24 July at approximately 1am. The victim, a 38-year-old man from Peterborough, was sitting on the benches opposite the Theatre Royal when he was assaulted by two men and one woman. He sustained facial injuries and was treated at a hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that could assist in their investigation. “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, however there are believed to be a number of outstanding witnesses who may have information which could assist the investigation,” said a police spokesperson.

Anyone with information can report it online or call 101, quoting serial 0341 of 28/07. The police urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward.
