Man Wanted for Questioning in Horsham Sexual Assault

Man in distinctive camouflage jacket wanted for questioning in Horsham's recent assault case

Police in Horsham are appealing to the public to help identify a man linked to a disturbing incident of sexual assault in the area. A young woman, in her late teens, reported an unsettling encounter with a man while seated on a bench outside the Sainsburys on Worthing Road, around 3:30 pm on Saturday, 10 February.

The suspect, described as a white man in his 60s, approximately 5’10” tall, with very short grey hair, engaged the woman in conversation and shook the bench before proceeding to sexually assault her. The authorities believe that the man, who was last seen wearing a unique camouflage jacket with a palm pattern, black glasses, black jeans, grey hiking trainers, and carrying a black crossbody bag, could provide crucial information for their investigation.

Members of the public with any information are encouraged to contact the police online or call 101, referencing serial 0824 of 10/02.
