Multiple Buses Vandalised in Hastings

Hastings police are calling for public assistance following a series of incidents involving damage to buses in the area from January 11th to 16th.

The first incident occurred on January 11th, where a window of a number 98 bus on Mount Road was reportedly damaged, likely by a stone. The vandalism continued on January 12th, with another window being damaged on a bus as it neared a stop on Stonehouse Drive around 7:20 pm.

A more concerning incident took place on January 16th, when an object was hurled at a number 20 bus on Harold Road at approximately 6:30 pm, causing the window to shatter.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in any of these incidents.

The police are actively investigating these acts of vandalism and are reviewing CCTV footage from the areas. They urge anyone with information to come forward and report online or call 101, quoting the reference 1133 of 16/01.
