Mystery in Southwater: Man Found with Serious Head Injuries After Visit to Tipsy Fox Pub

Police appeal for witnesses after Horsham man found injured with no memory of what happened following pub visit.

An investigation is underway after a man was found with significant head injuries in Horsham.

Emergency services were called on Friday, May 16, following reports that a man had suffered lacerations to his head.

The 52-year-old man, who is from Horsham, had visited the Tipsy Fox pub in Worthing Road, Southwater, at around midday with his dog and remained there for about an hour.

He was staying at a property within a 10-minute walk from the pub but did not return until approximately three hours later. When he arrived, he had sustained serious injuries to the back and side of his head and was unable to recall how they had occurred.

He was taken to hospital, where further injuries were identified. He remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Sussex Police are now working to trace the man’s movements and understand the circumstances leading up to his injuries.

A spokesperson said:
“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the man or has information that could help us establish what happened. If you can help, please contact us online or call 101 quoting reference 1180 of 16/05.”
