Commander Jon Savell expressed gratitude towards the public and media for their assistance following the incident, which has significantly alarmed the community. The police have pursued dozens of tips regarding Ezedi’s whereabouts, with assistance from Northumbria Police, British Transport Police, and Transport for London.

In a swift operation, five search warrants were executed, including at locations in East London and Newcastle, leading to the discovery of two empty containers with corrosive substance labels in Newcastle. Forensic analyses are underway to determine if these containers are linked to the Clapham attack.

The attack left a 31-year-old mother in critical condition, with injuries likely to be life-changing. Her two daughters, ages three and eight, also hospitalized, are now believed to have non-life-changing injuries. Additionally, three women and a man who intervened during the incident, along with five officers who were injured, have all been discharged from the hospital.

The police have released a detailed timeline of Ezedi’s movements on the day of the attack, including his travel from Newcastle to London and his activities leading up to and following the attack. The timeline ends with Ezedi boarding a Victoria Line tube at King’s Cross Station, heading southbound at 21:00.
