Weast Sussex Fire service was mobilised at 9:51pm on Saturday 16th of December 2022 to a fire in a Listed 18c Cottage in the High Street, Angmering.
Eight appliances and an aerial ladder platform were sent to the scene.
West Sussex Fire Service said “This Angmering house fire was extinguished at 1.51am. We were well supported by East Sussex FRS and Sussex Police and firefighters remained on the scene overnight. We are still in attendance today to ensure the area is safe”
The cottage is listed as an 18th building but a survey by a Building Study Group in 2006 suggested it may be early 17th. so, possibly 400 years old.
