Police Appeal for Witnesses After Hove Bus Assault

Police are appealing for information after a passenger was assaulted on board a number 1 bus in Hove.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a disturbance on board a bus in Hove. The incident took place on a number 1 bus travelling eastbound along Church Road at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9.

A passenger was reportedly assaulted by a suspect, prompting other passengers to leave the bus, which was stopped between the Sackville Road and Connaught Road junctions. The suspect is described as a man in his 40s, around 5’5” tall, wearing a green T-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms, and a black baseball cap.

Police are particularly keen to speak with the passenger who was reportedly assaulted but left the area following the incident. Other passengers who were on the bus at the time are also being urged to come forward with any information they may have.

Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 380 of 09/10.
