Police Arrest 22-Year-Old Following Incident Outside Shoreham Primary School

Sussex Police arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of assault and drug possession.

Sussex Police have responded to concerns about a man acting suspiciously outside a primary school in Shoreham, leading to an arrest.

Officers were called to Buckingham Road shortly before 9am on Tuesday, March 18, following a report that a school pupil had been assaulted. While no physical injuries were sustained, police launched an immediate investigation.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and possession of cannabis. He has since been bailed with strict conditions preventing him from being in the area while further enquiries take place.

Police are working closely with Buckingham Park Primary School and other partners to ensure the continued safety of children. Officers will also be carrying out additional patrols in the area to reassure the community.

Sussex Police urge anyone with further concerns or information about suspicious activity to report it by calling 101. In case of an emergency, always call 999.
