Police launch investigation into sexual assault on Hove Seafront

Police are currently conducting an investigation into an incident of sexual assault that occurred on Hove seafront on Friday, August 25th.

A woman in her twenties came forward to report the incident, which unfolded as she was preparing to go for a swim on Hove Beach at approximately 7:20 am. According to her account, she was approached by a man, and they engaged in a brief interaction during which they participated in a reiki/energy practice. Tragically, during this encounter, the man sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a male in his late thirties to early forties, standing at around 5 feet 6 inches tall, with short, dark brown hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a bright red crew neck sweatshirt and black or navy jogging bottoms.

Of particular concern to the police is the possibility that this individual may be connected to a similar incident that was reported in the same area just three days earlier on August 22nd.

Police is urging anyone who witnessed the incident, recognises the description provided, or possesses any information that could aid in the investigation to come forward. They can contact the police through the online portal or by dialing 101, referencing serial number 137 from August 27th.
