Police seek witnesses in Hastings Seafront assault

In the early hours of Tuesday (October 3), emergency services responded to an assault on Hastings seafront, near Denmark Place, opposite The Carlisle. A man was discovered with severe facial injuries, prompting his immediate transport to the hospital for treatment. He remains under medical care at present.

At the scene, a 34-year-old man from London was apprehended on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Following initial questioning, he was released on conditional bail while investigations persist.

Detectives leading the inquiry are eager to speak with individuals who may have observed the incident or noticed any disturbances in the town center vicinity during that period.
