Police Step Up Patrols After Weapon-Related Incidents in Crawley

Police have launched an investigation after a series of concerning incidents involving weapons in Crawley this week.

The incidents, which occurred on Tuesday (17 June) and continued into the early hours of Thursday (19 June), took place in the Langley Green area and involved reports of criminal damage and threats, with young people allegedly seen carrying weapons.

Sussex Police confirmed that officers are actively working to identify those responsible and are treating the matter as a priority.

Sergeant Darius Caldwell said:

“We understand the impact these kinds of incidents have on the community, and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate those involved in this criminality. There will be an increased police presence in the area.”

Police are urging anyone with information, CCTV, or mobile phone footage that could help the investigation to come forward.

Members of the public can report information online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Veil.
