On the 24th January, a presentation evening was held at Newhaven Coastal Operations Base in Sussex.
The presentation was arranged to honour the service given by volunteers of the Coastguard Rescue Service and members of the Newhaven, Shoreham, and Birling Gap Coastguard Rescue Teams.
Presented by Mike Bill Divisional Commander the following presentations were made to the Newhaven team:

Karl Davenport Newhaven Coastguard 20 years long service and good conduct medal.
Peter Leonard Newhaven Coastguard 20 years long service and good conducted medal.
Pete and Karl were presented with a commemorative sextant by Newhaven Station Officer Trevor Cutler on behalf of the team. Both of whom joined NH in 2002 and have been the backbone of the team over that period.
Andrew Easton, 11 Years at Newhaven Coastguard.
Barry Johnson, 11 Years at Newhaven Coastguard.
Graham Easton Senior Coastal Operations officer who opened proceedings said “It was great to see people here today to honour the contribution of not only these Coastguard Rescue Officers but their families and partners who support them in this vital role for HM Coastguard and Search and Rescue along with those present and on the teams currently”
