Tarring Road has re-opened between the junctions of Shakespeare Road and Heene Road.
It had been closed as a precaution while Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams carried out an assessment of a suspicious substance found at a property on the evening of Thursday, June 9.
EOD teams were stood down after their assessment found the substance to be safe.
