Search Effort on Hastings Seafront Ends Without Incident

In the early hours of this morning, Hastings Coastguard was mobilized following reports of an individual potentially entering the waters off Hastings seafront. The operation saw the depl-oyment of the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Lydd, a lifeboat from Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat, and numerous police units. To cover the extensive search area effectively, assistance was also sought from flank stations, including Eastbourne Coastguard.

A comprehensive search ensued, with Coastguard Rescue Teams, police officers, and a police drone scanning multiple areas, alongside the aerial support from the rescue helicopter.

Despite the extensive efforts, the search concluded without any sign of distress, and all teams were stood down, returning home by 0600 hours.
