Serious Two-Vehicle Collision on A27 Near Chichester: Witnesses Sought

Police are requesting public assistance in gathering information and video evidence regarding a road accident that occurred on the A27 near Chichester.

This incident took place on the westbound lane near Southbourne, around noon on Wednesday, December 13. The accident involved a silver Peugeot and a Volkswagen Transporter.

The Peugeot’s driver, a 66-year-old Storrington man, suffered severe injuries and has been admitted to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old driver of the Volkswagen from Brighton was unharmed in the collision.

Detective Sergeant Rosie Newman from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This was a serious collision and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“In particular, we would like anyone with dashcam footage of the vehicles either during or in the run up to the collision to come forward.”
