Six Men Charged After Violent Street Brawl in Portslade

In a development following a distressing incident in Portslade, six men have been brought before Brighton Magistrates’ Court. The charges come after emergency services rushed to Station Road on a Tuesday afternoon, responding to alarming reports of a fight involving weapons.

Upon receiving reports of the violent altercation on April 2, Police and emergency personnel quickly arrived at the scene in Station Road, Portslade. Their prompt intervention was crucial in managing the situation and ensuring public safety.

The Accused and Their Charges:

  • Kosar Banaee’s Legal Challenges: At just 19, Kosar Banaee of Elm Grove, Brighton, faces charges of violent disorder and has been remanded in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
  • Hogr Banaee’s Legal Situation: Hogr Banaee, 23, from Roman Road, Hove, is also in custody, facing charges of violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • Charges Against Kozheen Banaee: Another Brighton resident, 23-year-old Kozheen Banaee, is confronted with multiple charges, including violent disorder, possession of an offensive weapon, and grievous bodily harm with intent.
  • Ali Husseini’s Conditional Bail: Ali Husseini, 19, from Dyke Road, Brighton, has been charged with violent disorder but is out on bail under stringent conditions.
  • Ayob Mohammed in Custody: The 20-year-old from Western Road, Brighton, faces violent disorder charges and remains in custody.
  • Sardam Qadir’s Legal Status: At 30, Sardam Qadir from Oldham faces charges similar to some of his co-accused but has been granted bail with strict conditions.
