Video Shows Victim Being Taken to Hospital After Brighton Incident

Emergency services were called to The Level in Brighton late Thursday afternoon following reports of an altercation in which a person was reportedly stabbed. The incident occurred shortly before 4 pm on Thursday, 29 August.

Video footage from the scene captured a man being transported to the hospital by land ambulance, while the Kent, Surrey & Sussex (KSS) Air Ambulance was seen hovering nearby, ready to provide assistance if needed.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police confirmed the details of the incident: “A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing at The Level – a knife crime hotspot – in Brighton yesterday afternoon.”

Sussex Police added, “Police and emergency services responded to a report of an assault at The Level, Brighton, shortly before 4 pm on Thursday, 29 August. One man was injured and taken to hospital with an injury consistent with a stabbing. The injury is not thought to be life-threatening.”

In response to the incident, there will be an increased police presence in the area to manage the situation and to reassure the public. Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Sussex Police stated, “Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to report it to us on 101, quoting serial 832 of 29/08.”
