Police are appealing for help in identifying a man in connection with an assault that occurred in Horsham.

The incident took place on the evening of 5 October at the Morrisons Daily on Springfield Road. Reports indicate that a man entered the store and attempted to steal items before being confronted by a security guard. During the confrontation, the security guard was assaulted, and it is believed a second man may also have been injured.

The security guard sustained injuries to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment. He is now recovering.

Officers have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as they believe he may have valuable information that could assist with their investigation.

Police are also urging any witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who may have information about the potential second victim.
