Suspects with Weapons Flee Burglary and Attempted Car Theft in Brighton

Police were called to Slinfold Road in Brighton at approximately 11:45 PM on Thursday, 29th December, following reports of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the suspects had already fled the scene.

The night’s incidents escalated shortly after midnight when police received a call about two men attempting to steal a vehicle from Manor Hill in Brighton. These individuals, reportedly armed with weapons, threatened the residents of the property before escaping.

In response to these events, a comprehensive search operation was launched, including the deployment of the NPAS helicopter. Meanwhile, efforts were made to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected residents.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said “It is thought the two incidents may be linked and enquiries are ongoing to locate the suspects. Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area around that time, or has relevant video footage, is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 009 of 30/12.”
