Teen Charged With Assault and Weapon Possession After Worthing Fight

Teenager charged following fight outside Guildbourne Shopping Centre

Police have charged a 15-year-old boy following a disturbance involving a group of youths outside the Guildbourne Shopping Centre in Worthing on Monday, 14 October.

Officers were called to the scene at 6:38 pm after reports of a fight broke out among young people. Upon arrival, police arrested a teenager from Surrey, who has since been charged with actual bodily harm, battery, and possession of a weapon.

The boy has been released on bail with strict conditions and is scheduled to appear before Crawley Youth Court on 14 November.

A second boy, aged 14, was also arrested in connection with the incident but has been released with no further action taken.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are urging anyone with information or footage to come forward. Those who may have witnessed the event or have relevant details are asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 985 of 14/10.
