UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Littlehampton Park Assault on 14-Year-Old Girl

Sussex Police have arrested a 21-year-old local man on suspicion of sexual assault after an incident involving a teenage girl at Maltravers Leisure Gardens in Littlehampton. The reported assault took place around 7:15 pm on Friday, October 25, near St Winefride’s Road, and the area remains an active crime scene as investigations continue.

A Sussex Police spokesperson confirmed, “Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault on a teenage girl, which occurred in the vicinity of St Winefride’s Road, Littlehampton, about 7:15 pm on Friday.” The 14-year-old victim is currently receiving support from specialist trained officers.

Police are appealing for specific witnesses to come forward, including a man and a woman who may have observed the suspect and victim together and two teenage girls who may have checked on the victim’s welfare shortly after the incident.

As investigations progress, Sussex Police urge anyone with relevant information to contact them online or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 47240208787. The 21-year-old suspect remains in police custody for further questioning.
