Police are appealing for witnesses following the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in Bersted, near Bognor Regis, on Monday night (24 February). The attack has prompted an urgent investigation, with officers increasing their presence in the area.

Emergency services were called to Frandor Road at 7:35pm, where they found the teenage victim suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital for treatment and is now in a stable condition.

Two boys, aged 16 and 14, both from Bognor, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody. Investigations are ongoing as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Chichester and Arun District Chief Inspector Will Keating-Jones confirmed that officers are conducting door-to-door enquiries and gathering evidence.

“This is a fast-moving investigation, and we are appealing to the public for any information that could assist our enquiries,” he said.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Frandor Road between 7pm and 8pm on Monday, 24 February, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious. If you have CCTV, doorbell camera, or dash cam footage from that time, please come forward.”

In response to concerns from the local community, additional officers have been deployed in the area. Residents are encouraged to approach them with any concerns or information.
