Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a reported fight involving weapons broke out in Maidenbower Park, Crawley, on Sunday afternoon.
At around 3.45pm, a group of youths were seen fighting, with some reportedly carrying weapons. Officers responded swiftly to the scene, prompting the group to disperse into surrounding streets.
Following a search of the area, four teenagers—all from Crawley—were arrested in connection with the incident.
- A 14 and 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and affray.
- Another 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray.
- A second 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
All four have been released on bail with strict conditions pending further investigation.
Sussex Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the altercation, or who may have video footage, to come forward.
