Two Arrested After 16-Year-Old Stabbed in Bognor

Victim in Stable Condition After Emergency Medical Treatment

A shocking act of violence unfolded in Bersted, near Bognor, on Monday evening (February 24), when a 16-year-old boy was stabbed, leading to the arrest of three teenagers.

Emergency services rushed to Frandor Road at around 7:35 PM after receiving reports of the incident. Upon arrival, officers found the teenage victim suffering from stab wounds. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he underwent treatment and is now in a stable condition.

Following swift police action, two boys, aged 16 and 14, were taken into custody. Both have been formally charged with wounding with intent, while the 14-year-old also faces an additional charge of possessing a knife in a public place. Authorities have confirmed that both suspects have been remanded and are scheduled to appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 26.

Meanwhile, a third suspect, also 16, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Sussex Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and are urging anyone with information, CCTV footage, or dash cam recordings from the area to come forward. Individuals can report any relevant details online or contact police by calling 101, quoting Operation Cornflower.
