Two men arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Hunston collision

In the early hours of Thursday, 31 August, a single-vehicle collision occurred in Hunston, near Chichester, prompting an appeal from Sussex Police for any witnesses to come forward.

At approximately 00:20am, officers were called to Selsey Road following reports of a white Citroen panel van veering off the road and colliding with walls and parked vehicles. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident.

Two 25-year-old men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. They have since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, “Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle being driven in the area beforehand.”

The police are particularly interested in any potential footage of the incident. “They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage of the van,” added the spokesperson.

Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 28 of 31/08.
