Update: Severe delays on A259 between Seaford and Newhaven

As of 19:20 we have been sent a photo of the sights still in operation.

Update 18:00 – A259 Between Seaford and Newhaven emergency roadworks with temporary lights continue to cause long delays especially Eastbound from Peacehaven Central, C7 southbound from Piddinghoe and westbound from Seaford

17:00 – A259 Between Seaford and Newhaven emergency roadworks with temporary lights following the overnight RTC involving an overturned Hgv continue to cause delays especially westbound from Seaford, Eastbound slow traffic from Peacehaven east.

Update 10:26am :- A259 Between Seaford and Newhaven emergency roadworks with temporary lights continue until 23rd December according to the roadworks schedule long delays especially westbound

Sussex News contacted ESCC and a Traffic permit is issued to the 23rd of December but “They’ll be looking to complete the works ASAP and have the lights removed as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
