Vandalism at Eastbourne Hotel: Police Seek Witnesses

Police are calling on the public to assist in their investigation after a hotel in Eastbourne’s Wilmington Square was vandalized late Saturday night, April 27. The incident, which occurred at approximately 10:10 PM, involved significant damage to the hotel’s windows and doors.

Authorities acted swiftly, arresting a 41-year-old man on charges of causing criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. The suspect has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

In their pursuit of justice, Sussex Police are urging witnesses or anyone with potentially helpful information—especially those with mobile phone, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident—to step forward.
