Emergency services are responding to a significant residential fire on Twyford Road, Durrington, Worthing. Firefighters from both West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (WSFRS) and East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS) are currently on the scene tackling the blaze.
WSFRS has urged the public to avoid the area to allow crews to work safely and has advised local residents to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke in the vicinity.
Sussex News understands that a woman managed to escape from the property, and there are currently no reports of casualties.
