According to Sussex Police, altercations took place in several pubs and bars in the area, leading to the disturbances. Officers arrested two men, aged 27 and 23, on suspicion of assault in connection with the incidents.

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to identify a third man believed to be involved. The man was in the town centre on the evening of May 10 into May 11 and was last seen wearing a dark jacket, dark baseball hat, red T-shirt, and blue jeans.

Additionally, it has been reported that an Eastbourne night marshal was assaulted during the incident. Night marshals play a crucial role in ensuring safety in the town centre, making this attack particularly concerning for the local community.

Sussex Police urge anyone who recognises the man or has information about the incidents to report it online, quoting serial 27 of 11/05.
