Video: Seaford Seafront Blaze ESFRS Battles Camper Van Inferno

This morning, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS) was called to a fire involving a camper van located on the Seaford seafront.

Four fire engines from Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne were called to attend. Crews used six breathing apparatus, two jets and firefighting foam to extinguish the fire.

Upon arrival, the fire crews found the camper van ablaze. Due to concerns about gas canisters reportedly inside the vehicle, a total of four fire appliances are reported to of been deployed to the scene.

ESFRS spokespon said “We were called at 9:36am on 9 January 2024 to reports of a single motorhome vehicle fire on Marine Parade, Seaford. 4 fire engines from Newhaven, Seaford and Eastbourne were called to attend. Crews used six breathing apparatus, two jets and firefighting foam to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots. There were no casualties and the fire is reported to be accidental.”
