Yesterday (Wednesday 28th of December 2022) Torrential rain and Stong winds along the Coast caused one of nature’s stranger phenomenons to appear in the Sussex town of Peacehaven a “reverse waterfall”.

Obviously, there is a simple explanation for this. It’s just a trick of the wind.
The cliff has a frequent waterfall, there is a dip in the cliffs that over the years has acted as a funnel for surface water to flow into the sea.
Winds picked up to 50mph in parts of Sussex throughout the Day with flood alerts issued for Cuckmere and Bull Rivers near Hellingly and Alfriston.
