Witness Appeal After Hailsham Hit-and-Run

Authorities are seeking witnesses and information regarding a hit-and-run collision that occurred last night in Hailsham, leaving a driver with slight injuries. The incident took place at approximately 10:36 PM along Diplocks Way, near the junction with the A295.

According to reports, the vehicle involved was driving recklessly before it collided with a blue car and fled the scene without stopping. The vehicle suspected of causing the collision is believed to be a Corsa, identified from wreckage found at the site.

Sussex Police are appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have noticed a vehicle with significant front-end damage, which appears unexplained, or anyone who may have captured the vehicle’s registration plate.

If you have any information, regardless of how minor it may seem, please contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting 1357 27/04/2024.
