A swift and coordinated response from three local fire crews successfully extinguished a fire in the bin store on Chichester Road in Bersted earlier today. The fire, which had spread to nearby garages, raised concerns among local residents and businesses.
The incident was first reported in the early hours of the morning. According to tweets from the local fire service, the blaze originated in a bin store before spreading to surrounding garages. Crews from Bognor, Chichester, and Selsey were dispatched to the scene, arriving promptly to contain and eventually extinguish the flames.
The fire service has not yet released any information regarding the cause of the fire, which is currently under investigation.
WSFRS commented on social media: “The fire is now safely extinguished. Crews remain on scene to ensure there are no further hotspots.”
