Bognor Resident Sentenced for Sexual Communications with a 13-Year-Old

Man Found Guilty of Sexual Communications with a Child in Bognor

Bognor Man Convicted of Sexual Communications with a Child

Bognor Regis, UK – Sacha Dixey, 47, has been found guilty of engaging in sexual communications with a child. The conviction follows a detailed investigation by Sussex Police.

Between 10 November 2021 and 22 November 2021, Dixey interacted with a profile of a 13-year-old girl on a popular social media platform. Despite the profile clearly stating the girl’s age, Dixey, posing as a 39-year-old man from London, sent several selfies, including a sexual image, and made explicit comments.

The investigation led officers to Dixey’s residence in Mayfield Close, where he was arrested on 30 November 2021. He was subsequently charged with sexual communications with a child and arranging and facilitating sexual offences with a child. Dixey denied the charges, blaming another man who he claimed had been staying with him. However, evidence showed that the username used for the offending matched one of Dixey’s associates.

After a four-day trial at Lewes Crown Court, which began on 28 October, the jury found Dixey guilty. He is scheduled to be sentenced on 12 December at Lewes Crown Court.

Investigator Rose Horan commented, “Dixey was prepared to use the names of his associates rather than admit his guilt. He is now a convicted sex offender.”

Sussex Police urge anyone who has been a victim of a crime to contact them online or call 101. In emergencies, always dial 999.
