Brighton assault update: One suspect arrested, two identified

After an appeal to identify several men linked to a March assault in Brighton, one suspect has been apprehended.

Additionally, two of the men the police wanted to question have been identified.

Authorities are still searching for three other men believed to possess crucial details regarding the event.

On Friday, March 3, near the Railway Bell pub on Surrey Street, the 31-year-old victim was assaulted, resulting in severe facial injuries.

Those who can identify any of these men are urged to either report online or call 101, referencing serial number 1462 of 03/03.

For those who prefer anonymity, they can reach out to the independent charity Crimestoppers online or by dialing 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile, a 44-year-old Brighton man was taken into custody on July 31 on charges of intentional grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail, with a return date set for October 26 as the investigation proceeds.
